MURRELL was reported, in his obit, to have been from Buckingham Co. Frederick was born around 1800. He was in Lynchburg in 1818, m. Elizabeth M. VENABLE there in 1821, and died there in 1842. I have been unable to find his parents or siblings. There was a Cornelius MURRELL who was listed in Buckingham Co., 1800 Tax List as 1 white male and 1 horse. Is he the same as the Cornelius MURRELL who bought land in Amherst Co. in 1785, 150 acres previously taxed to Henry ROBERTS and was on the Amherst County Land Tax list in 1789, 1790, 1791? Could there be a connection between Cornelius & Frederick MURRELL? Both Cornelius & Frederick were witnesses together on wills, inventories and land deals in Amherst Co. in the 1830s. Any info will be grately appreciated.
