Posted on: Buckingham County, Va Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Va/Buckingham/11150 Surname: Moseley, Saunders, Wilson ------------------------- Thanks Mary for the good info. I only have one question--Did Sarah Wilson Brown have ANY children with William Francis Moseley? I have my gggrandmother Elizabeth Moseley as his youngest daughter b. 1818. Mary Saunders died about 1822, which means that Elizabeth would have been 3 years old. I have found numerous conflicting dates for William's marriage to Sally Wilson. I have these children attributed to William Francis Moseley: Sarah Moseley b. 1793 Grandison Moseley b. 1799 William C. Moseley b. 1801 Letitia Victoria Moseley b. 1810 John Arthur "Jack" Moseley b. ? Mary Magdalene "Polly" Moseley b. 1814 James S. Moseley b. 1816 Elizabeth Moseley b. 1818 I have seen many different years attributed to Elizabeth r.e. birthdate, but I am certain that the 1818 birthdate is correct as it corresponds with later census data. For instance Elizabeth age 62 is listed in the 1880 Chillicothe MO census as a widow living with her youngest son Henry Miller. My Moseley info comes mostly from researcher Leila D'aiutolo. I have heard it mentioned that William Francis Moseley was a prolific letter writer, and I am wondering if you know if any of his letters survived and where they can be accessed. Also I may be going through VA this summer and would like to know if you can recommend any resources or genealogical societies that could help me find more about this family. Thanks again, Betty Tartas in WA state
