Posted on: Buckingham County, Va Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Va/Buckingham/11142 Surname: MOSELEY, MILLER, GUERRANT, JONES ------------------------- Hello Margaret, it appears that your great x3 grandmother and my great x 2 grandmother were sisters! My gg grandmother Elizabeth Moseley married William F. Miller in Buckingham Co VA around 1830. They moved with their two eldest daughters Mary Ellis Miller and Lucy Lou Miller to Springhill Livingston Co MO around 1841. Letitia's brother James S. Moseley and his bride Eliza Jones accompanied them, and the two families lived close by each other for many years. (I am wondering if Eliza Jones is related to Peter Rhodes Jones, Letitia's husband). James and Eliza are both buried in Springhill MO; we suspect that William F. Miller and Elizabeth Moseley Miller are buried in Chillicothe MO, as that is where they lived during their latter years. I have quite alot of info on Elizabeth and William's family in Springhill MO, including transcriptions of about 25 Civil War era letters. ( Unfortunately, she does not mention her sister Letitia Victoria in any of the letters.). Elizabeth Moseley DID name one of her daughters Letitia, but I have not been able to trace Letitia Miller's whereabouts after the Civil War. Please check out my website at http://www.fidalgo.net/~tartas/index.html Click on Mother's line.. I have tons of info on the Moseleys, Millers, Guerrants, etc. I am curious about the Huguenot society that you mentioned--my mother's maiden name was Martine--another large Huguenot family that settled in NY. Also where in Texas did Letitia Victoria Moseley and Peter Rhodes Jones live?? Yours, Betty Tartas in WA state
