I'm looking for John Taylor, esq. (ca1780-1840) of Buckingham Co., Va. I know he had a daughter Nancy, born in 1800, who married Wilson B Morgan The Morgan family came to Baltimore ca 1840. There two of Nancy's daughters married Duncan brothers from Accomac Co, Va. The eldest daughter Sarah Meritt Morgan published her marriage to James W Duncan in the Balt Sun on Sept.22, 1844. That marriage notice says she was the granddaughter of "John Taylor, Esq. ,deceased,of Buckingham Co, Va.". The fact that Sarah's middle name was Merritt leads me to think that John Taylor may have married a Merritt The only other clue I have is a mention in my grandfather's obit that John's daughter, Nancy Morgan, was a first cousin of Pres.
