Jane Pearl Murphy was the daughter of Charlie Murphy and Clara Catlett. Charlie Murphy was the son of William Daniel Murphy and Emily Moss. Clara Catlett was the daughter of Nathaniel Catlett and Virginia Frances Call. Clara was a sister to my great-grandfather Alfred Catlett. Below is her obituary. She is survived by 2 sons, John R. and Alfred N. Murphy; 4 daughters, Mrs. Wallace L. Roberson, Mrs. Leland Hicks, Mrs. Miles Hollingshead and Mrs. Clyde H. Edwards; 2 sisters, Mrs. Roland Franklin and Mrs. Annie Miles; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, 3rd and Marshall.
