Thanks Mary, The reason Buckingham Co. VA is special to me is because my GGGG grandparents were last living there when they left and came over to Barren Co. KY to live. This was around 1818. Barnett HATCHER owned land around the Slate River NE of the Courthouse. His wife was a lady whose first name was Susannah. Her father's given name was William. From court documents here in Barren Co. KY her last name looked to have been SLATUR or SLATOR or some form of that. Some researchers have suspected it might have been SLAUGHTER. But no records can be found to show that SLATUR or SLATOR lived in Buckingham Co. I have found several STATONS. I would like to find out who Barnett Hatcher's parents were. It is my goal to someday travel to Buckingham CO. VA. Any help or ideas would be greatly appeciated. There are several of us family members who are active in this research on Barnett & Susannah.
