Doris: My Mary Moore was Mary Elizabeth Moore daughter of the German Hessian soldier Johann Philipp Mahr (Philip Moore). He married a Polly and lived in Warren, VA near Scottsville. She married a man from Buckingham County--Elisha Bryant son of Austin Bryant from New Canton. They moved to Kentucky around 1824 and raised a family there. The family eventually relocated to Texas and points out west. Her brother married and settled in the New Canton area of Buckingham County and that is where my branch decesded from. I also lived in Albemarle County near Albemarle High School so I am familiar with the barracks.
