Eric and Rob: I have a Sharp Spencer. He was listed with the early head payments with a Col. Anderson in the Albemarle records. They were in the part of that became Buckingham, on the James River. His wife was Sarah "Sally" Anderson (m. circa 1759). I believe a daughter or sister of " Col. Anderson". By 1777, he was across the James River in Prince Edward Co, serving as a lieutenant, appointed captain in 1779. He died there in 1814. Is Sharp a name that shows up as a first, middle or maiden name in any of your Spencers
