    1. Genealogical Records of Buckingham County, Virginia / FEARN, FEARNE,FERN,FERNE
    2. smithiras
    3. Are there any of the above surnames in the records. I would appreciate a lookup. Several of the given names that I am particularly interested in are Samuel, John and George. Samuel and son, George, migrated to Gallatin County, KY but they were born in Buck. Co. Samuel's wife was Nancy Scruggs but I have no information on her except her tombstone at the Fearn family cemetery in what is now Trimble County or Carroll County, depending on where the county line is now. She was born in Buck. Co. according to her tombstone. Any help would be appreciated. Iras Fearn Smith Mobile, AL

One of these children, Vera Oakes b. 1905, just passed away last summer, as she was my oldest living relative. :(. If you need more specifics, please email me. I have been studying this line for about 17 years now. I know it's way after your dates, but it might open a small window? for you.

That is a branch of the same "Buckingham Davidsons," and I hope that they might consider joining the Davidson/Davison/Davisson DNA testing project someday. They seem to have a couple of the few remaining living Davidson males who are KNOWN to be from that same overall Davidson family out of Buckingham. I know of one other man in SC (in his 70s) who is from yet another branch of that overall "Buckingham family," but he has not shown an inclination to join the testing project (and he has a daughter only). Thanks again.
