    1. Re: [VABUCKIN-L] Buckingham Burials
    2. The complete name of the book is "Buckingham Burials, A Survey of Cemeteries in Buckingham County, Virginia Volume 1" compiled by Janice J. R. Hull and published by Hearthside Press. ISBN 0-945231-03-2, Price $25.00. Copyright 1997. According to the acknowledgment in the book, Ms. Hull and many others took 12 years to survey known burial sites in Buckingham County. The book is not totally complete. I have visited several graveyards in Buckingham that are not in the book. But it is a good reference book to have for anyone researching Buckingham. Since this book is labeled "Volume 1" I'm hoping they are compiling "Volume 2." I ordered my book directly from Hearthside Press, 5735A Telegraph Rd.., Alexandria, VA 22303, telephone: 703-960-0086 Hope this helps. Alicegayle@aol.com

Two of the Garrett sisters married Agee men and their brother married an Agee woman. The Agees weave into my Stanton and Logan lines. Do you show a Stanton Cemetary in your book? 2. The only AGEEs listed in Buckingham Burials, Vol I, are Alma E. Charles D. Hattie V. (Garrett) Mary L and Minnie E. all in a cemetary listed as "AGEE family at Ingleside - Hwy 742". There are 10 graves listed at this location wih all having been born in late 1800s and died in 1900s with the exception of a Garrett baby, born and died 1900s. The one other AGEE listed is Elizabeth (AGEE) Steger (1813-1863)buried by her husband Edwin W. Steger. Only 6 names, all Steger, at this location.

    3. Hello from San Antonio: On that cemetery book of Buckingham Co. you all were talking about. Does it have the Thomas Agee graveyard near Dillwyn? I was there about 35 years ago, and it was supposed to be in the woods somewhere but I didn't go back in there. Would love to know if there are readable stones still there. Wife, Susan Tayor Agee should also be there. Also looking for Thomas J. Agee/Elizabeth Hooper Wooldridge Agee burial places. Buckingham, Appomattox or Cumberland Counties. Thanks to anyone who has the cem. book! Sandra

He is also buried there I think. I would love to find a copy of the info you are using. Could you please let me know where it at? I live in Chas WV and they have a wonderful Archives. 3. Alice, One of those documents I have about those awful Inges says that one of the girls received land in Arvonia. I wondered if they were buried there. They may be in pauper's graves somewhere. This is one irritating line. Thomas Mathews Sr. , died in March 1799,... His heirs at law were: James Doling and wife Sarah, ..." Also there was a John Doling and a John Doling, Jr. on the 1800 tax list. George B

    2. YES YES YES......That is him. I am so glad someone has found that.....Now I can continue. He was a friend of the Mathews man. I have seen that in several papers. Doling, I should have guessed that.....peoples names seemed to have changed so much over the years. I would like to find as much info on him as possible. Especially if someone could find a marriage record or any of his children. I do know their was a John B. which is where my line is. Thanks so much for finding that info. You don't know how much I appreciate it. Thanks Tracy
