Hello List: I am new to this list, so want to put my query before all of you with the hope that someone may have some help. I am looking for information about JOHN LAMBERT, who was married to ELIZABETH ?(Possibly Elizabeth Gregory, m. 11 Dec 1709) in Mecklenburg or Brunswick Co. VA. In need infor on his parents ,as well as Elizabeth's. This JOHN LAMBERT had a son with JEMIMA JACKSON about 1760 who she named MARK LAMBERT JACKSON. Later after Mark L. Jackson was married to Drucilla Rainey on Nov 8, 1784, Jemima Jackson and John Lambert were married to each other on Aug 5, 1785 in Brunswick Co. VA. Joseph Lambert signed as ssecurity. He may be a clue as to John's family. I am looking for his parent's line. (Evidently John's 1st wife, Elizabeth, was dead by this time. I have court records showing that John Lambert and Jemima Jackson were found guilty of adultry by the court and fined 1000 lbs of tobacco each to be paid to st. James Church for benefit of the needy, Brunswick Co. VA. I have looked in the VA Genealogist Vols 31,232,33 in an article titled Jacksons of Lower Virginia" but while iit lists many Jacksons, and even mentions Mark Lambert Jackson, it only says that he does not belong to the others, the main froup on which the article focused. I would like to hear from anyone who has any information, or suggestions to follow up on,. I have found a Jarvis Jackson who had a daughter Jemima....does anyone have info on that family? I hope to visit Williamburg in late October and want to get as much together as to where to look before I arrive. Boone White
