Hello All: I'm seeking parents of my gggrandfather, Thomas SHELTON (abt 1813 in VA). Although he married and lived in Patrick Co VA, he has no record of parents. What I do know about him: He married Elisabeth D. or Elisabeth ALLEN (abt 1814 NC) in 1835 in Patrick Co VA.Joshua ADAMS minister. He and Elisabeth are shown in the census 1850-1870 with the children below: Josiah A b 1835 William J 1838 Mary J 1839 James P 1841 , 24th VA reg, killed Civil War at Williamsburg Charles Madison 1843 my ggrandfather m. Nelia F NAPIER- Vet 58th Va and POW Sarah E 1844 Lucinda 1846 Peter Tobe 1846 married sister to Nelia (above) Demarius NAPIER Susan R 1847 Martha A 1849 Samuel E 1852 George W ?
