    2. Michael Watkins was born around 1741. He, along with siblings Robert, Jeane (Jane), and Catherine, Mulatto children, were listed in the inventory of the Northumberland County, Virginia estate of John Coppedge between 1743 and 1749. Michael and his wife Ann were living in Brunswick County with their children Robert, William and Mary. On April 22, 1771, the court ordered that William ba 1768; Robert ba 1770; and Mary be bound out by the churchwardens of St. Andrew's Parish. Also, on January 25, 1779, the court ordered the churchwardens of St. Andrew's Parish to bind out Michael "poor children" William and Robert. Michael and Ann had another children - David, born around 1780; John born before 1776, and James, born around 1782. The descendants of Robert, Jeane (Jane) Michael and Catherine settled in various counties in Virginia and later in NC. I an anxious to meet my Watkins cousins.
