Hello, I'm new to the list and in search of information about my 6g grandfather, Cuthbert Smith. Cuthbert appears to have been married to a couple of Elizabeths (Elizabeth Chamberlain/Chamberlayne) and Elizabeth Washington who was previously married to a Sampson Lanier). I've not been able to sort out the Elizabeths or which children are from which Elizabeth. The children's names are Charles, Stephen, John, James, Frederick, Benjamin, Sally, Lucy, Mary, Susanna, Anne, Elizabeth, and France. My line descends from the above James and I'd be interested in any information about James also, particularly, the name(s) of his wife.......I've reason to believe that he was married more than once. At the time of his death, he was married to a woman named Agnes. Thanks, Robert Smith
