Hi Nita, You can obtain certified death certificates from after 112 from the Virginia State office of vital records, here is a link to their website: http://www.vdh.state.va.us/misc/f_08.htm On there they tell you several ways to obtain certificate fromthen, in person, by mail or even phone. Also the Library of Virginia in dowtown Richmond on East Broad Street for the last couple of years has had death certificates on microfilms from 1912-1939. And they also have at LVA death records on films from 1853-1896. That is where I get mine for those time periods.
