David ROPER (at http://www.roperld.com ) has Judy CAPLE/CAPEL/CAPELL as born ca 1 Sep 1808. She is show to be the daughter of James CAPLE (b 14 May 1794 - Lilesville, Richmond, NC) and Naomi Elizabeth SMITH (b ca 1796 - Lilesville, Richmond, NC; d Anson NC). James CAPLE, in turn, is shown to be the son of William CAPLE II (b 28 Apr 1772 - Northampton, NC; d May 1811 - Richmond, NC) and Amy MCDANIEL (b ca 1775; d ca 1845 - Maury, TN). William CABLE II is shown to be the BROTHER of the Martha CABLE (b 10 Apr 1768 - Brunswick, VA; d 29 Sep 1846 - Merion, SC) who married John ROPER (b 15 Jul 1764 - Brunswick, VA; d 22 Mar 1843 - Dillon, SC). In other words, John ROPER's son John ROPER (b 21 Mar 1802 - Dillon, SC; d 1871 - Stillo, MS) married Martha Caple ROPER's GRAND-NIECE! I do NOT have SOURCE references on any of this other than the ROPER GEDCOMs, but with these specifics, hopefully you can idependently verify that which is important to you! Also, I would encourage you to inspect the data in the ROPER GEDCOMs for DESCENDENTS of John ROPER and Judy CAPLE to verify that Dave ROPER has all of the information that is known about John and Judy's descendents!
