    3. Hi Vince, Ok...I have the 1850 census..there were 2 families of Crawford in Botetourt in 1850. One was too old and the other was the right age to have a daughter of Paulina's age, seeing as she was born in 1844, but no Pauline. So, this may be that Pauline was not in Botetourt at that time. I can't remember if you have Pauline's mom and dad's names or not. I have seen, in my searches...where there were children born of a family...but for whatever reason, financial mostly...they were living with other relatives in other areas at the time of the census...thus they would not be listed in their parents household because they were not there. Did you go to USGENWEB/VAGENWEB to get some of your info? I have the cemetery rosters and a wealth of info on Botetourt from there...i can try to get the 1860 census.. Didn't you say that she was married before George Washington Ruble? Our luck, Crawford is her first married name. maybe... Also, a side note...look at the age difference in Pauline and George...30 year difference...She married George at 25...perhaps she was a widow, a young one...when she married George. Like I said before, I just have her data in relation to George. I am working on the male lines for now, and the lateral lines and merging surname lines later. I'd really like to work with you on this though, has struck my curiosity!! Several of George's siblings migrated to Craig County. That maybe another location to look at as far as G.W.'s info, and perhaps Pauline's. After all. CRAIG CO, was formed from BOTETOURT in 1851......So, Craig county may be where we can find info on her.
