Martin (Martain) Mason bought 227 acres on the Roanoke River, Botetourt Co., VA in 1786. He paid taxes in Botetourt Co., VA 1785 & 1786. He died intestate, but inventory of household goods ate on file in Fincaltle, VA. After he died, his children were placed under guardianship of prominent men of Botetourt Co. Virginia was penniless when Jacob died and she gave her children to William Nofsinger in July 1843.
