Lib was recuperating from hip surgery at Friendship Manor Rehab and doing really well. The doctors attribute her death to a blood clot or heart failure. The funeral services will be held at Oakey's North Chapel on Friday, April 2, 2004 at 11 a.m. The family will receive family and friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. She will be buried on the Field family plot at Evergreen Burial Park in Roanoke, Virginia. Dr. Joe Greene, the pastor from Preston Oaks Baptist Church, will perform the service. A special thanks to the Doctors and Nursing staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Friendship Manor for taking such good care of Lib and to the Hollins Rescue Squad for their quick response and professional care.
