I've been searching for John T. Worts (Wirt)who married Sarah Henry May 24, 1815 in Botetourt Co. VA. At the time of this marriage Sarah would have been about 29 years of age as she is listed as age 64 in the census of Hardin Co. TN. John Wirt (Wort) had died prior to the 1830 Census. This line is included in my Henry families of Botetourt Co. VA to Hardin Co. TN. Could your Sarah who married Shoemaker have been the daughter of John T. Wirt (Worts)? It appears that Sarah Henry above who married John T. Wirt (Wort) was married previously to a Henry of Botetourt Co. Please e-mail me at [email protected] to discuss these families.
