John T. Wirt May 25,1815 Botetourt Co. VA. Does anyone have the marriages of Botetourt Co. for this timeframe. If so, would you please let me know the surety for the above marriage? Either John T. Wirt died enroute to Hardin Co. TN or prior to the move as Sarah Wirt is listed in the 1830-1850 Hardin TN Census. I belive Sarah was first married to a Henry in Botetourt Co. That she was the mother of Alexander, Jesse and William A. Henry. Sarah filed for compensation for several services performed by John T. Wirt in the War of 1812. In researching Botetourt Co. the more I see the same surnames connected with my Henry lines from VA to Hardin Co. TN and several on to Jackson Co. AR. The surnames are: Davy, Hawkins, Hawk, Cravens, Smith, McClure,Jackson and possibly Porter, to name a few. I would love to visit with anyone researching the same names or who has ties from Botetourt Co. to Hardin TN and possibly on to Arkansas.
