I sure wish we could fine a better name that There are soooo...many John Smith's!! And Lavenia/Lavania/Malvina/Elvina for our lady! ....what a bust for spelling. We have about 3 census's with 3 spellings and can't find a sole to take her being "as counted" in 1850! Anyone have any nick name ideas? This frying pan just keeps simmering instead of frying! Darn anyway! I think it is going to come down to checking out every SMITH male and female that married in Botetourt between 1800 and 1830 to pry any links out if there are any to be had.
