Surnames: HENRY Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GBC.2ACI/1086.2.1.1 Message Board Post: From what I have experienced with these lists in this book, it holds fact that the "parent" is likely the surname of the bride if the columns read Date Groom Bride Parent which is the way they are written in the book; It may be that the parent is the actual parent thus showing the surname; most of the guardianships were listed in the old books as gdn. There are some interesting things in the female list I sent, also. Keep us posted on your progress! iNTERESTINGLY, my cousin is a DUNAWAY and his brickwall is with his gg grandma, Henrietta Boon; she may have been "Nancy H. Boon/Boone or ??" but her father was born in PA and they have a rumor in the family of links to Daniel and Squire Boone line..........Henrietta's mother was named Lydy/Liddy/Lidy/Lydia. We think Henrietta is the daughter of Jonathan Boon/Boone and Lydia Henry. This combination is the only marriage of a BOON/BOONE that has a Liddy/Lydia who was born in Ohio with a mother b. in MARYLAND and a father b. in PA. Those county shift of lines are so critical as well as the fact that the BOON family was so large (as the HENRY one!) and not all of the families heads/males were willing to leave their entire families at risk while they went exploring or adventuring!
