The Nicely and Circle families lived in the Ritch Patch area of Botetourt (currently Glen Wilton) which borders Alleghany and Botetourt Counties. I have a map showing the land of the Circles next to the Wood family of Botetourt. Members of this Wood family were also in Bath County and are also connected to Reynolds who were in Rockbridge and Amherst. There are Wood/Reynolds relatives that married Armentrouts. Members of the same Nicely family also settled in Rockbridge County. I don't know if this could possibly be the same family, but there was a Michael McElwee family in the area.
