He married Sarah Hartman on January 24, 1815 in Botetourt County, Virginia. They were the parents of at least nine children: Mary Polly, b. 1818; Marsilla, b. 1820; Catherine, b. 1825; Hannah, b. 1827; Daniel J. b. 1832 all born in Virgina. Elizabeth,b. 1833 and Peter, 1838, in Ohio; then William S. Brooks, b. 1840 in Iowa. Tunis died 11/11/1879 in Cooper township, Gentry County, Missouri. Any additional information on this family is appreciated.
