James sold the Galde Creek property to his brother Andrew H. and James moved to I think Kentucky. Deed book 13, Page 192, Botetourt County Circuit Court. The pages are difficult to read. Also, James had a son my the name of Daniel. In Deed Book 35, Page 580 Andrew H. sold the property to George Layman and Polly Layman and in to Priscilla Layman Gross and Thomas Gross. James McCrery was dead sometime around 29 July 183. In will book P, page 125. James McCrery purchased the land from Mary Preston Howard. Mary was married to John Howard and she was the sole owner after his death. James Howard obtained a Grant 1792 from David Goode, Pat. Bk. 28, 83. Another Grant in 1791 of 400 acres on Glade Creek, Pat. Bk. 25, 348. Also, check in Kegley's Va. Frontier by F.B. Kegley, Dated 1938. Lots of materail on Botetourt County, Va.
