Now, all I have on Befird is his mother's first name, which is Frances. I have no maiden name, or any other info other than an estimates date of birth from census records in Botetourt that shows her living in his household in the 1850 census. Her age lists as 60, so this would make her born about 1790. But I have NOTHING else. There is also a Elizabeth Darr/Dorr that keeps coming up in this family in 1850/60/70/80 census' as either living with them, living in the next household to them, or living in the next household with one of Beuford's daughters taking care of her. I have come across Demerius Emmaline in my searches, but now I can't remember what it pertained to!! yuck! I have put the genealogy on hold till after the holidays and the company has left. Have not worked on it since October. I'm looking through my notes and cannot find any notes on Demerius. I believe...if I can recall...that someone who is subscribed to the Ancestry.com ! thingy was assisting me in sending the 1840-1920 ACTUAL photocopied census records and doing soundex searches, etc....she had much more luck than I would ever have. So, with that in mind, I am going to pick up where I left off with the Murphey family...which is Beuford. It is frustrating to have so much on his children to me, but nothing before that. He was born in 1810 in Amsterdam, Botetourt Co., and his mother's first name was Frances, born about 1790, do not know where.... Lisa
