Surnames: Davidson, Murray Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GBC.2ACI/790.1 Message Board Post: A John and Elizabeth Murray sold 180 acres in Botetourt County, VA in 1774 to a William Davidson. This land bordered the north branch of the James River. I believe that this was a part of Botetourt County, VA that became Rockbridge County, VA in 1778 or so. This is all I know about the Murrays in that area. The witnesses appear to have been William Wilson, William Barckley (sp?) and James Bareley (sp?).
