Grasping at straws, it seems William Haynie CRAWFORD, the Presbyterian preacher who was in Tennesee, but who was briefly in Craig County, could well have been an uncle (according to a researcher) of Paulina CRAWFORD. If so, Grief CRAWFORD would appear to be, possibly, a brother to William. Or something like that. If so, that puts Grief in a position to be related to John Montgomery CRAWFORD of Craigs Creek. Since Craig County was not even invented until 1851, it would appear the likely candidate is Botetourt? That is where Paulina is from, anyway! Does anyone have info on JMC?
