I've always referred to John as "John, Jr" but found a record of John Sr having been in the Amherst Co. Militia (diary of William Cabell - notation about delivering drest pork to John Biggs as due the wife and children of John Biggs, Jr.) This would actually make my John Biggs, Sr. b. 1751 John Biggs, Jr. now; and John Biggs, Jr. living in Botetourt Co John Biggs, III now. Anyway, John Biggs, III DID have a son Allen. This was passed down in our family history. Allen lived near Buckhannon during the Civil War and gave the early history to my ancestor, Augustus Chapman Biggs.
