In addition to my previous query on John Custer / Custard that married Mary "Polly" Smiley, daughter of James Smiley I also have been stumped on their son John Lewis Custer marriage to Rebekah Shawver in Botetourt County and the Shawver lineage.. My data is as follows : John Lewis Custer who went by Lewis Custer was born ca 1820 in Virginia. He died 4 May 1887 In Union County, Illinois. He married Rebecca Shawver 19 June 1839 in Botetourt. She was born ca 1820 in Virginia and died 23 Apr 1889 in Union County, Illinois. I am looking for the parents of Rebecca Shawver in Botetourt as she married Lewis Custer 19 June 1839 in Botetourt.
