According to records in Bland County, John Myers, s/o William & Charity Myers, marr. c1849 a Sophia Carper, dau. of Jacob & Rebecca Carper. Her birthdate varies from 1822-1826 in later records. They are found in the 1850 Tazewell 1950 census and stated they were from Craig/Botetourt county, but I have not found any record of their parents in Botetourt, Craig Or Giles counties. His will, dated Nov. 21,1807, was proven in January 1808 (Botetourt County Will Book B p. 167) (Inventory Will Book G p 533 Botetourt Co., VA).
