Thanks Debbie Wood James Matten Early and wife, Jane Gatewood He died circa 1807 Historic Fincastle, Inc received a grant from the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission in 1982, for the purpose of restoring the James Matten Early Cabin, located in present day Fincastle, Botetourt Co VA.
