He was the son of John CLICK, III and Anna HARSHBARGER of Rockingham County, VA. John CLICK married Sarah MILLER on 9 May 1837 in Rockingham County, VA. Sarah MILLER was born 10 Oct 1820 in Rockingham County, VA and died 24 Nov 1876 in Ladoga, Montgomery County, IN. Sarah was the daughter of Christian MILLER and Susanna FLORY of Rockingham County, VA. The children of John and Sarah CLICK: 1. Jacob L. I believe that John and Sarah came to Botetourt County in 1845 according to tax lists. John CLICK had a sister who also lived in Botetourt County. She was Catherine CLICK b. 18 Dec 1811 in Rockingham County, VA d. Oct 1884 in Roanoke City, Botetourt County, Virginia. Catherine married Christian SWARTZ 23 Feb 1847 in Botetourt County, VA. Christian SWARTZ was b. 21 Jun 1820 in VA and died 18 May 1892 in Roanoke City, Botetourt County, VA. Catherine and Christian SWARTZ had two daughters (these are the only children I know about there may be more) Mary A. and Martha E. twins born 21 Sep 1850 in Botetourt County, VA. Mary died 24 Oct 1885 in Roanoke County, VA and Martha died 7 May 1886. Mary was married to Jacob SHOWALTER. Martha was married to Frederick R. RIFFEY. Another ancestor who was in Botetourt County very early was Barbara GLICK b. 1759 in Germany and d. 1831 in Carvins Creek, Botetourt County, VA. Barbara was the daughter of Johannes Glück and probably Barbara STAUFER of Shenandoah County, VA. Barbara was married to Peter FRANTZ of Botetourt County, VA. Barbaras brother Christian CLICK b. 1772 was also early into Botetourt County. He was married to Elizabeth CROUSE. I would really like to correspond with anyone researching any of these families!!
