He married Sarah HOUSMAN, daughter of Christian HOUSMAN & Eve REICHERT, on 8 Nov 1832 in Botetourt County. Did Jeremiah STAIR and Sarah HOUSMAN have any children? Is this Jeremiah STAIR the same Jeremiah STAIR listed on page 167 of the 1st edition of the Kessler history ("Out from the Blue Ridge"), who married Mary Margaret KESSLER, daughter of Benjamin KESSLER & Demaris BRUGH? The Kessler book states that "Jerry was married previously. He was a successful farmer and supervisor of Rockingham County." The birth years match up for this to be the same person.
