I'm looking for clues on my Jones line; Anne JONES first name could of also been Sarah or Elizabeth Anne JONES, born abt. 1780 in VA. since those were the names of two of her oldest daughters? She married James Lauderdale, born abt. 1773-1780 in Botetourt Co, VA. Their families migrated together we believe from Botetourt Co., VA. to Greene Co, TN. Their families bought land around Nolichucky River in Greene Co., TN., James lived with his uncle, John Lauderdale and James was a son of Thomas Lauderdale a brother of John's, from what we understand, Thomas had died and James then when to live with his uncle John. James also had a brother named George Lauderdale, don't know what happen to him? James Lauderdale and Anne Jones, married on Dec. 6, 1799 in Greene Co., TN. A George or Thomas JONES, that also had land around Nolichucky River may of been the father of Anne Jones? After Anne Jones and James Lauderdale were married they migrated to Blount Co., AL. with other family members. And lived near Nine Mile Creek in Blount until about 1817 and then moved on into Madison Co., AL. and Morgan Co, AL. and later settle in Fayette Co., AL. Also some more info. on Anne Jones and James Lauderdale children, not sure but this Jones line may some how be connected with the marriages of two of their daughters Jones marriages? Sarah Lauderdale, born abt. 1803 in Blount Co., AL. married George Jones on Sept. 23, 1824 in Morgan Co., AL. Angelina Lauderdale, born abt. 1815 in Blount Co., AL. married Jeremiah Jones on Nov. 8, 1832 in Morgan Co., AL. Does anyone have any clues on my Anne JONES family?
