    3. To Botetourt and Augusta County Lists: Trying to find information on ROBERT LUNNEY and his family who came from the Isle of Man about 1732. We on LOONEY-L are trying to determine if (and how many) any of Robert's siblings came with him from the Isle and what his father's name was. We can document a *lot* of LOONEYs in Botetourt County in the time that ROBERT was there and most have been attribu- ted as his children. However, the ages don't fit. They must be neices and nephews. Robert owned Looneys Mill, Looneys Mill Ferry and built Fort Looney (which was later renamed Fort Fauquier) all on the James River. Looneys Mill Creek that feeds into the James was named for him. If you would like to help us search for them, you can join us on LOONEY-L@RootsWeb.Com and we can exchange information. It's not open subscription, so you'll have to send me a note explaining how you're connected and I can subscribe you. We're also accepting other Looneys that came from the Isle of Man, Ireland or whatever, so long as they can possibly trace back to our Celtic heritage. BTW, we're not "closed" because we don't want you, we just don't want to be overtaken by Warner Bros. fans. Go go Yosemite Sam! ;) I'm thinkin' about changing that. -- Ed Looney EGLooney@Airmail.Net List Owner: BRANCH-L; CHILDERS-L; HEACKER-L; LITTRELL-L Co-Owner: LOONEY-L Assistant: ROBERTS-L Sponsor: Floyd County (TXGenWeb/USGenWeb)
