I am seeking info on Joseph Dooley, born ca. 1810; he was born in either Botetourt or Bedford Co. On July 11, 1829 he married Mary (Polly) Bishop, dau. of John. I have not been able to locate any deed or will records that would give a clue as to Joseph's parents. Tax records from the time period have been no help either. Joseph and Mary had the following children: 1. John Dooley, b. 1833 2. Lewis Dooley, b. 1835 3. James A. Dooley, b. 1837 4. Jacob Dooley, b. Aug. 1839, d. June 1928 5. Edward Dooley, b. 1841 6. Marshall Dooley, b. 1843 7. Ann E. Dooley, b. 1845 8. Ellen E. Dooley, b. 1847 9. Henry Dooley, b. 1849 Joseph is on the 1850 Botetourt Co. census, but disappears after this. Polly Dooley is listed as a widow in the will/estate documents for her father John Bishop. If anyone has any info on Joseph, I would love to know! Thanks, Mary
