I recently found 1880 Census records that I believe links me to another generation back farther in a family branch of the Simmons family of Botetourt County. Is anyone familiar with a George W. Simmons, farmer in Fincastle District (b. 1843), wife Nannie (b. 1844), children Henry, John M., Ella L., Bertha (Alberta), Annie, or Mary J.?
