    3. Well, I've watched quietly for a day or so... time to jump in. In the Spring of 1746, Peter WRIGHT and his brother Thomas migrated to the Virginia frontier from Long Island, NY. Thomas settled on the Cowpasture River, Peter on Jackson's River at the mouth of Pott's Creek, where the city of Covington now stands. Peter and his wife, Jane HUGHART had the following children: Descendants of Peter WRIGHT, Sr. 1 Peter ? WRIGHT, Sr. b: Abt 1712 in Oyster Bay, Queens Co., NY d: Abt 1793 in Botetourt Co., VA 2 Sarah ? WRIGHT 2 Rebecca ? WRIGHT 2 Mary ? WRIGHT 2 Martha ? James and Peter Wright acknowledged this in Court Order Book 1772-76/148. That child was Jane M. MULLIN, d/o Margaret M. MULLIN. She seems to have disappeared. Does anyone out there have any MULLINs from Botetourt/Augusta/Alleghany Counties? Thanks, Mark from Botetourt Researching WRIGHT, ESTILL, CLARK, SPROWL, HENDERSON, PERSINGER and several other surnames from this neck of the woods...
