Hello, My name is Wanda Nance and I have just joined this digest. Has anyone found any MINTONS in the 1700s in this county? I have a PHILLIP MINTON who married in 1776 in Washington Co.Va. and died there in 1805. Do not know where he was before Washington Co.Va. Also do not know who his parents were but believe his father was JOHN MINTON who bought land in Washington Co.Va. in 1781. PHILLIP is suppost to have been born in Virginia. I am looking for all MINTONS in Virginia in the 1700s in the counties formed BEFORE Washington Co.Va.[1777] was formed.
