Cindy, Thank you for your response concerning the MountainView Cemetery in Buchanan,Va. Apparently MountainView Cemetery is the "black" portion of the Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan. I don't know of how long it has had this name, but not too many people seem to know about it. I do think that they are considered different cemeteries. Someone else has referred to Mountainview as the upper portion of Fairview. Some of the graves go back to the 1700s and many of the graves no longer have any markers on them. We are still trying to find a list of the people buried there. Thanks again.
