Need info on KESSLER/CLARE(Clair/Cleer) families in Botetourt Co., VA. 10 July 1787, George CLARE and Susanah KESSLER (dau of Johannes & Dorotheo Kessler, b. 9 Sep 1787). Surrety: Jacob BISHOP (b. @1755). Botetourt 1770-1820 map done by Hildebrand indicates a parcel owned by John Kessler 1790 near Stony Battle/Battery Creek. I am researching Jacob BISHOP and have been told there is a family connection. Does anyone know which person it is most likely he would have been a relation of ? Sharon
