Hi Kap: I have just subscribed to several VA counties and this is the first letter. I may be of no help to you on the Bryants, but I'll give you what we have: My great grandfather was Joseph Henry Franklin Doss 1827-1867+ - married to Elizabeth Ann Bryant 1833-1889. Her parents were Richard ca1800-1815 and Ann(ie) Young Bryant (Briant) circa 1800-1857. They were born in Franklin Co. VA. One record says he died in Blacksburg VA, which I think is in Botetorte Co. That's as far as we go back. She had a brother Dennis in Cabell Co. WV where she took her children and lived after her husband died. She is buried in my family's "Wilson" cemetery near Barboursville/Huntington WV area. We don't have a sure date of death for Joseph - he was in the Civil War and may have died during the war. We're researching surnames: Bryant, Doss, Wilson, Hanley, Lester, Green, Dodds, and quite a few others, who were almost all from Virginia and West Virginia areas.
