I had a chance to visit Fincastle Historical Society this summer and found the people there very helpful, especially Mrs. Honts. We were asking where the Brick Union Cemetery was, she drew us a map. We found it but couldn't get to it because it was so overgrown with weeds, etc.Later in the Fall, my son went back and was able to go in and took some pictures. It still needs to be maintained. Some of the stones were over turned. I wonder if someone would check with the Boy Scout Organization or some other group that would be willing to under take this as a community project. Throw this suggestion out and see what comes of it. I live in Charlottesville and too far away to try this myself, I am retired.
