Hi Paul, My ancestor Samuel STONEROCK went to Wayne Twp of Darke co., Ohio sometime around 1830. My hypothesis is that he was the son of George STEINROCK/STONEROCK who was in Berks Co., Pa until about 1790. Three of his ABENDSCHON in-laws went to Botetourt Co., Va. George and his family may have went also. George STEINROCK/STONEROCK was in Pickaway Co., Ohio in the early 1800s. He married Margaret RIENHART in 1819. George died in 1826 in Pickaway Co., Ohio. Some other families that arrived in Darke Co. were the DAVIDSONs, and the METZGERS. The DAVIDSONs appear to have stopped off in Pickaway Co. prior to moving on to Darke Co.
