Am seeking information about my gggggr Henry Bolton (b. 1741 in England; d. in 1846 in Giles County, Virginia. He was married to Catharine Chapman (also later to Nancy Mann) with whom he had 21 children between the two wives. One of his sons,, ( ggggr) Jacob Bolton (b. 1793 in Botetourt, VA) m. Elizabeth Inksell. They had 8 children. Their son, my gggr, David Bolton (b. 1823) married Martha Ann Fisher in 1845, lived most of their lives in Botetourt and died finally in Iowa with their 10 children. David's son, James M. Bolton (b. 1850) in Virginia married Sarah Ann Anderson. Together they reared their 6 children in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. He was an inventor and farmer in that area.
