VA Sent: 3/5/99 7:16 PM To: VABOTETO-L@rootsweb.com I received information indicating there was a reference to Ephraim SIMMONS in "Indices of Wills, Fincastle Co., VA 1822." My source said he thought it was 'Book 22; p. 47'. I wrote the Office of the Clerk of Circuit Court, County of Botetourt, Fincastle, Virginia. I was told there was no "Book 22" and no Will for Ephraim SIMMONS. I also realize Fincastle, Co. VA was discontinued in 1777, so wondered how there would be a Will in the Indices dated 1822. (I have much to learn about genealogy! :-) I would appreciate someone suggesting a new way to locate the Will. I would be willing to compensate someone for locating the Will and sending a copy to me.
