I recently looked at the Botetourt Marriage Reel and recorded some marriages from 1872 to 1928. I thought that I should share these marriages with the list just in case they may help provide some information for someone. I did not record all marriages. There are many, many more. I only recorded marriages of certain surnames that I thought might fit into my database. I could not find an association for all marriages listed here. This is a long list, so I suggest that you might want to scan the list before printing. I also suggest that you scan it carefully as there are many surnames listed. In 1928, they began listing the surnames of the mother. These surnames will be found in ( ). Please keep in mind while looking over these records that they may contain some errors due to interpetation of handwriting and poor quality of film.
