The co. seat of Botetourt is Fincastle which is located about 8 miles NW of I-81 on US 220. From Lynchburg, go west on 460 to Roanoke, north on I-81 for a few exits and follow US 220 North. William Henry b. 1748 Berkeley Co., VA m. 15 Feb 1780 Botetourt Co., VA Elizabeth Jones b. 11 Dec 1765 Botetourt Co., VA. Thomas Lackey witnessed marriage. Per: Marriage bond. John Henry b. 1753 Berkeley Co., VA & Robert Henry b. 1756 VA Both Wm. and John as young children moved to Botetourt Co., VA. I'm trying to locate parents for Wm., Jno. & Robert. I don't know if there was other siblings. Help! Was John Jones and Elizabeth the parents of Elizabeth Jones? Does anyone know where I may locate any other records? I have checked the marriage book. Hi List, Anyone researching the following people: Rebeckah McNeely-John Johnson m. 28 June 1800 Ann McNeely-Thomas Crawford m. 1790 Dorothy McNeely-Andrew Braden m. 1 Feb 1793 later moved to Anderson Co, TN Elizabeth McNeely-Michael Sowder m. 6 Mar 1805 Mary McNeely-David Craig m. 27 Mar 1804 The above were from Early Adventures on the Western Waters by Kegley. My ancestor Wm. McNeely m. Susannah Hall 25 Dec 1811 in Montogomery Co, VA. Wm's bro Robert m. Susannah Evans. Wm. and Robert eventually settled in Washington Co IN. In a bio on them, it named their siblings, but did not name parents. The siblings were Jane, Ann, Dorothy, Becky, Mary, Betsy and Patsy. A Wm McNeely's will was probated Sept 1810 in Montgomery Co VA. Names wife Rebecca and children William, Matey Munsey, Rebecca Johnson, dec, (leaves property to her 3 children, unnamed).
